Spanish

In Spanish classes at Washington, we delve into all major aspects of the Spanish language and those cultures that speak it. Students learn recited language as well as gain the tools to produce original, coherent language through a variety of lectures, activities, and other educational opportunities.  Grammar is a large focus that allows students the structure and rules to not only produce but understand spoken and written Spanish. Their grammar and vocabulary studies will also strengthen the knowledge they have of other languages they speak, especially English. Throughout the various curricula and classrooms, students are introduced to Hispanic cultures through readings and videos to develop a mature, well rounded respect for all cultures that differ from their own.
