This week we have a lot planned for the Lunar New Year Celebration. Thank you so much to CIPCF & PTO for collaborating with our school to make this another memorable year!
February is almost here and it is Black History Month! This month our students will continue to learn about their history, contributions, and recognize all the amazing people that have made a mark. If you have connections (i.e. Black authors, artist, writers) or have school wide ideas to share in this celebration, please contact me!
Lastly, I want to thank families for getting our students to school. We have been seeing a peak in attendance in the first trimester. This is great for students' learning and relationship building with their friends. Trimester 2 usually is when we see a dip in school attendance and we encourage you to do your best to bring our students to school.

Bringhurst Campus Clean Up Day- Saturday - February 8th 9am-11am
Looking for a fun volunteer activity with your kid(s)? Join other Bringhurst families to help beautify and clean up our campus on Saturday, February 8th, from 9:00 am - 11:00 am! We will be picking up trash, wiping down tables, and cleaning our outdoor spaces to keep the campus looking pristine. This is also a great opportunity to teach our kids how to care for our shared spaces and engage in simple civic responsibilities. Please consider bringing along a broom and dust pan, and gardening gloves. Disposable gloves will be provided.
Dine out to Donate - Tuesday - February 4th - Panda Express!
Our next Dine Out to Donate event will be on Tuesday, February 4th at Panda Express nationwide! This is for online orders only at www.pandaexpress.com or the Panda Express App. You may order ahead for pick up on Feb. 4th. This does not work for orders under 3rd party delivery apps.
Be sure to put “900955” fundraiser code when checking out to ensure that a portion of your order supports the PTO.
We have Panda Coupons for $5 off family meal and free CubMeal (courtesy of Ms. Sampson)! They will be in the front office – and once they run out, they run out. Get a coupon while supplies last!

Recorders Recycle Program
Got a graduating student who doesn’t need their old recorder? The Music Program would be happy to have you donate that recorder back to their program for the music students next year! They will be thoroughly disinfected and sterilised. Please find a receiving box for old recorders in the front office starting in March.
Wagon Donation?
Our school has a need for an additional folding wagon or two! If you are willing to part with a wagon, please email vp.bringhurstpto@gmail.com
Event Leader
PTO would love to host a talent show/cultural night event if possible. If planning this kind of event interests you, please email: vp.bringhurstpto@gmail.com. PTO officers will support you in the process so you won’t be all on your own.
School Clubs & T-Shirt Sponsorship Available
Bringhurst PTO is now providing need-based sponsorship to the following items for students
Sponsorship for School Club Fees/Competition Entry Fees (eg. Math Kangaroo)
Sponsorship for a Bringhurst T-shirt
If your kid(s) are interested and you believe your family qualify for these needs-based sponsorships, please email us at vp.bringhurstpto@gmail.com. We will collaborate with Bringhurst Administration staff to verify your child’s status as a need-based student, and proceed from there.
For each sponsorship, PTO has allotted $300. Sponsorship will be awarded on a first-come, first serve basis until the $300 fund is exhausted. For the T-shirt Sponsorship, a student may be awarded a new shirt once every 3 years.
