Welcome to Bringhurst

Principal's Message from the end of last school year (5/26/23)

I would like to take a  moment to express my sincere thanks for your continued support and partnership with all of us at Bringhurst.   This year has been an extraordinary one, full of challenges and opportunities for growth.   I am so very proud of our students, staff and families for your collaboration as we got Bringhurst up and running.

Our teachers have worked tirelessly to provide meaningful learning opportunities for our students and our students have shown an amazing commitment to learning and being your Blazer Best!

As I look ahead to next year, I am filled with hope and optimism for what we can accomplish together.  Our school community is stronger than ever and I am confident that we will continue to support each other and thrive.

Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your children. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal.  I look forward to continuing our work together.

I am excited to announce the approval of an Assistant Principal for the 23-24 school year and beyond.  We will be interviewing this summer and look forward to introducing them to our Bringhurst Community next school year.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Johanna White
Principal

About the Schoool Site

Integrated into a new urban development the 1,100-student Lila Bringhurst Elementary School was designed to respond to the scale and character of its surroundings. With neighbors including Tesla, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station and the mixed-use and high-tech office buildings planned for the area, the campus’s design reflects the creativity and innovation of the Bay Area. The transitional kindergarten (TK) through fifth grade elementary school includes classroom buildings, a multi-use building and a school office, as well as a Learning Center, Media Center and Flex Lab. The first new school built in the Fremont Unified School District in nearly 30 years and adjacent to a four-acre joint-use park, Lila Bringhurst is a community hub and landmark for this new part of the city. Sustainable materials and practices were prioritized throughout design and construction. (Quattrocchi Kwok Architects)
