Principal's Message

As we close out the 2024-2025 school year, the last month is packed with festivities, ceremonies, and celebrations. One of our last school wide event is Open House. We cannot wait for you all to come and see our Blazers show off their work!

Bringhurst is hosting our field day on Wednesday, 5/21 from 8:40-11:00am for 1-2nd grade, and Thursday, 5/22 from 8:40-11:00am for 3-5th grade. Please consider signing-up to volunteer so we can provide activities and end-of-the-year-fun for our Blazers!

2024-2025 Soccer Team

The soccer team had their last game of the season. Special thanks to Coach Frederick who spearheaded the very first boys AND girls team! Thank you Ms. Vinci Chen for being our team manager. Bringhurst is very grateful for the two of you!

Spring Concert

Thank you to Mrs. Gloria Sampson who works so hard to put up our Christmas concert and Spring concert every year. Her concerts are always one of the major highlights of our entire school year! How wonderful it is to have you as our music teacher, Mrs. Sampson 🙂

If you came to see your child perform for the spring concert, please know that it warms our hearts to see how many parents were willing to take time out of their day to show up for their child. We thank you for the patience and cooperation as we manage to fit the crowd in our MUR!

Safety Signs

You may notice there are more signage around our campus, and that is because of PTO! Thank you to parents who donate to our Parent Teacher Organization in order to support our school and benefit our students. We hope that these new sturdy signs can help us improve the flow of traffic and overall safety around Bringhurst.

Teacher Appreciation Breakfast

Thank you for helping your child to participate in Teacher Appreciation Week. We definitely felt the love!

A special shout out to all the parents who organized and provided our teachers with a luxurious breakfast this past Tuesday. Our hearts were as full as our bellies!

Kindergarten's Butterfly Release!

As part of Kindergarten's bug unit, teachers house caterpillars in their classrooms so students can see them transform into butterflies before releasing them. Nature is amazing!

Debate Club

Thank you Ms. Qin for hosting this year's Debate Club! They had their last debate showcase in front of families. Amazing to see our blazers being so confident and able to disagree respectfully.

Safety Reminder

Please walk your bicycles or scooter on campus at all times during school hours. There has been multiple injuries, close calls and complaints related to wheels going too fast around people. This applies to younger siblings that comes with smaller rides during pick-up and drop-off. The Bringhurst community appreciates all cooperation towards maintaining safety around our campus.

Bringhurst Traffic Reminders

We have gotten feedback and want to ensure our pick-up and drop-off traffic is safe for both students and adults. In order to do so, we need all Blazers to cooperate with the traffic rules below:

Front Traffic Loop

ONE-LANE VALET - traffic cones have been put in place to create 1 lane only through the loop. Please do NOT create a left lane. It is very dangerous and creates risks for collisions.
NO LEFT TURN FROM WISDOM - kindly plan your drive to school so you can enter the valet line by turning right. Turning left from Wisdom creates a gridlock for cars exiting the loop and halts the flow of traffic.
DO NOT USE THE STAFF PARKING LOT - whether it's parking in the teacher's lot or using it to drop-off/pick-up students, the staff parking lot is meant for teachers to come and go from their work place. Please park on the street or use the valet line/Insight for drop off.
HANDICAP PARKING - Families who need handicap parking may use the staff parking lot. Please make sure you move the cones back in place once you've entered.
STAY IN YOUR CAR AT ALL TIME - if you leave your car unattended (or stay parked) in the valet loop during pick-up and drop-off, it instantly backs up the traffic. Please stay in your car and be ready to move to alleviate congestion.

Insight Street

Insight Street is not an official school drop off pick up zone. At this time, the city does not own Insight street. When that time comes, our school will work with the city to make it an appropriate safe drop-off/pick-up loop. However, if you choose to continue to use this street, please be mindful of the following:

BE SAFE - as one of our Blazer core value, please teach your child traffic safety when using Insight street as a drop-off and pick-up area. Stay on the sidewalk, look both ways before crossing, and any habits that can keep them safe!
NO U-TURN - there is a cone to prevent U-turns on Insight street. Please, respect the cones!

Please help us inform other parents of these reminders and be a part of the solution to our traffic problem!

Teacher Appreciation Week

THANK YOU TEACHERS! We see you and stand by you and deeply appreciate all the ways you support, teach, guide, and love our children. A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parent volunteers that helped make the breakfast possible–especially to Dorothy Vu for organizing it! Hope all teachers and staff feel deeply cared for this week (and beyond!)

Come on Friday and attend CIPCF’s annual event of beautiful Chinese poetry recitation! Bring your friends and family and enjoy some beautiful Chinese poetry!

Recorders Recycle Program

Got a graduating student who doesn’t need their old recorder? The Music Program would be happy to have you donate that recorder back to their program for the music students next year! They will be thoroughly disinfected and sterilized. Please find a receiving box for old recorders in the front office!
