PBIS silver recognition

Principal's Message

Bringhurst has officially been recognized for its Silver Implementation Award by the state of California! Special shout out to our PBIS team members who have spent hours in meetings, planning, collecting feedback, thus shaping our school culture since we opened in 2022! Our team will be working on achieving Gold Implementation Award for the coming years.

Our annual fundraising event Blazerunner officially ended today. Many many thanks to our PTO and all parent volunteers for dedicating their time to organize and put on this event. Thank you to all those who have donated to help enrich our students' school experience! We've said it before, but this would not be possible at all without our parents support. Parents are a pillar to our school community. We see you and appreciate you!

otterpop sale

Otter Pops Fundraiser!

Every Wednesday and continuing through October 15th, our 4th graders will be selling Otter Pops for just $1 each! The Otter Pop stand will be set up by the front gate for 20 minutes after school. Students may purchase up to five Otter Pops, so please send your child with dollar bills and exact change. Sales will happen on Wednesdays and other selected days, which will be announced during morning announcements. This is a fun way for students to enjoy a sweet, cold treat while helping our 4th graders raise funds for their annual trip to Sacramento.
Tesla field trip
Annual Tesla fieldtrip for our 5th graders. Students ride trams around the factory to learn about the manufacturing program. It's very cool!

Our wellness center has been really popular with the students! Many thanks to our wonderful counselor, Ms. Amanda, and staff for opening up the wellness center more often this year! Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, students are able to sign up to do quiet soothing activities during recess.
reading
This year our very brave 4th and 5th graders have decided to step up to the plate and started reading to our TK students! Our littlest Blazers are so lucky to have this special experience. We love seeing positive student to student relationships being built within our Blazer community.

What is iReady?

i-Ready Diagnostics are assessments in reading (grades 1–12) and mathematics (grades 1–8) that help teachers understand student strengths and growth areas. The Fall diagnostic window ended on September 19, and results are now available to parents/guardians through the i-Ready “For Families” report.
To access the report of diagnostic results, your student should log in to their i-Ready account, and from there you can enter the FUSD access code W54RK3 to view results. For more help, you can download the step-by-step guide here: i-Ready For Families Reports 2025-26.

LBES Traffic Updates

Updates
  • NO LEFT TURN from Accelerator to Wisdom from 7:40-8:20 am
  • Fremont Police Department has been informed of recent traffic issues - they will be doing patrols and issuing tickets to traffic violators. Share and report traffic issues on the non-emergency line (510) 790 6800, Op. 3 for traffic violations.
  • A continued big THANK YOU to all the volunteer traffic monitors! You’ve helped a lot!
Continuing Reminders:
  • No Double Parking! We have continued to observe cars double parking and blocking flow of traffic as well as creating hazardous conditions jeopardizing the safety of our community. If you see something, say something!
  • Do Not abandon your car!
  • Do Not park in fire lanes!
  • Do Not obstruct traffic!
Some tips for smoother and safer drop off:
  • Have your kids ready to exit car at Drop-off
  • Parents DO NOT exit your car!
  • Don’t put the backpacks in trunk
  • Students exit the car on the walkway side of the street
  • Use a crosswalk! It’s worth an extra minute of walking a little more for safety
Thank you volunteers! If interested, click on the link!
  • The Traffic Committee has worked tirelessly to listen to parents for ideas to improve the drop-off/pickup experiences. If you would like, please join the new WhatsApp Traffic Discussion Group within the Bringhurst All Parents Community to share your thoughts and offer solutions.

Leverage Company Grants & Volunteer Hour Matching to Help LBES

  • If offered, consider applying for donation matching from your employer. You can request a donation receipt from your classroom teacher when you submit your donation, who will then submit the request to the office. Please DO NOT request the donation receipt directly from the office (it should go through your teacher).
  • Many companies offer grants and match donations for volunteer hours. Here’s how you can help amplify the impact of your contributions:
  1.  Company Grants: Check to see if your employer offers grants for educational support and let us know if you need any documentation.
  2. Volunteer Hour Matching: Log your volunteer hours and submit them for matching funds through your company’s program. (Instructions on how to track volunteer hours with Benevity
How to Get Started:
  •  Ask Your Employer: Reach out to your HR department or corporate-giving team to find out if your company offers matching grants or volunteer hour donations.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Refer to this document to identify opportunities where you can volunteer.
  • Submit Your Requests: Follow your company’s procedures to apply for grants or submit your volunteer hours for matching. For more information see the Bringhurst PTO website: https://sites.google.com/view/bringhurstpto
