Toys & Valuables
Please remind students to keep all valuables and toys at home. We are trying to minimize the amount of item lost or taken.
Glass bottles and lunch containers
We encourage you to NOT use glass to store students lunch. It is not safe when they are shattered on the ground. Please consider using metal containers instead.
Younger Siblings
We love parent volunteers and parent participation in school events. However, we cannot allow younger siblings attend school functions during school hours due to safety concern. Thank you for understanding.

Help us grow our brand-new school library! Because Bringhurst is a new school, our collection is still small—about 8 books per student, while most schools have 15–20. As our student population and reading levels grow, we want to offer a wider range of books for every child, including a strong Chinese-language collection for our Mandarin Immersion Program.
How to Donate (suggested donation: $20):
-
English books: Donate online at Titlewish (click “Donate”).
-
Chinese books: Donate by check/cash to FUSD–Bringhurst (note “Library,” student name, and room number).
Our fundraising goals: $5,000 for English books and $2,000 for Chinese books.
Thank you for helping us build a vibrant and lasting Bringhurst Library for all students!

Our Student Council is excited to kick off our first fundraiser of the year: Winter Holiday Grams! All proceeds will go toward purchasing new Blazer Folders for the 2026–2027 school year, with a goal of raising over $1,000 so every student can receive a fresh set next year. Winter Grams will be on sale December 2–17, and each gram costs $1 (cash only). Every Winter Gram includes a festive holiday card (designs are randomly selected) and a blue raspberry lollipop. Students may purchase as many as they’d like while supplies last. Orders will be collected by teachers and delivered to classrooms on scheduled delivery dates throughout December. Thank you for supporting our Student Council and helping us reach our goal!

Fourth grade is continuing their fundraising efforts for their upcoming Sacramento field trip! To support their goal, the 4th grade team will be running the Blazer Snack Shack from December - February, every Wednesday and Thursday after school. Families & students can find the Snack Shack outside both the Front Gate near the office and the Back Gate.
They will be selling a variety of snacks, including popcorn, chips, Capri Sun, Gatorade, packaged brownies, lollipops, and ice cream sandwiches. Please refer to the menu above if your child is interested in purchasing snacks after school. The Snack Shack accepts cash only, and we kindly ask families to bring exact change when possible.
If your child has food allergies, please talk with them about what they are able to purchase. Most items are nut-free, but some may be processed in facilities that handle nuts.

PBIS Parent Volunteers Needed
As we continue to grow our PBIS efforts this year, we are looking to add parent involvement to our PBIS team! On the third Wednesday of each month our team meets to discuss plans for PBIS at Bringhurst. We would need parent input for the first 15-20 minutes of each meeting (1:45 - 2:00pm). We would share what issues we are seeing on campus and have you brainstorm with the team on how to address these needs at school. Please let us know if you're interested!

Help us remind students of these protocols to better prepare for unpredictable weather!
- Please encourage students to use their raincoats instead of their umbrellas to prevent any accidents.
- A reminder that Kindergarteners will NOT be able to use an umbrella if it rains during pick-up time as kids would be sitting too close to each other, so please prepare rain coats.
- Our closed campus policy is still in place despite the weather changes. You may instruct your child to walk to their classroom and out of the rain in the morning, there will be many adults to assist and supervise students. Please do NOT ask students to open gates for you, or walk in the campus after school for pick up.
-
Our priority is safety. Kindly respect our traffic crew and their instructions as they help in the morning, rain or shine!
|
- Let's show our appreciation to our teachers by providing a delicious breakfast and some raffle prizes as a token of our gratitude for their dedication and the positive impact on our children. Please sign up to bring drinks, breakfast items, tableware, or gifts. We have about 80 staffers, we can cook, bake, or purchase items you think they'll love. Any contribution will help make this a fantastic event.

- We’ve heard from many of you that additional Mandarin homework support would be helpful. Over the past few months, our amazing parent volunteer, Ngoc Le, has been researching different options and resources — including the Homework Help Center at the Fremont Main Library. She visited last week and found it extremely helpful for Mandarin learners.
- Currently, there is only one Mandarin-speaking volunteer available at the Homework Help Center. PTO and CIPCF would like to gauge parent interest so we can work with the library on potentially adding more Mandarin-speaking volunteers to better support our students. PTO and CIPCF Leaders will work on reaching out to local high schools to find interested Chinese-proficient students willing to offer Mandarin homework help–but only if we know parents will take their kids to the library for help!

- Not yet in the program or want to enroll a younger sibling, and you have questions! FUSD District has graciously offered an MIP specific Zoom meeting to answer your enrollment questions. Please note: This meeting will not address spacing or whether or not the program will split to 2nd campus.
- CIPCF Officers have gathered and organized some FAQs and answers with the district regarding MIP Enrollment. Please find that document HERE!
