ELAC

The purpose of ELAC is to advise the principal and staff in the development of a site plan for English learners and submitting the plan to the School Site Council for consideration of inclusion in the School Plan for Student Achievement. They also assist in the development of the schoolwide needs assessment, and share ways to make parents aware of the importance of regular school attendance.

SPSA:  School Plan for Student Achievement -  This plan is developed to make sure there is ongoing improvement of our school.  The plan is written specifically for Hirsch on an annual basis to reflect the needs of all of our current students. It is available on the district website.

School Site Council- SSC is made up of an equal number of parents and staff.  Parents are elected by parents and staff by the staff. These members represent the entire school community.

Meeting format for 2025-26 will be determined by ELAC at the first official meeting of the year. The options will be through Zoom or in person. The chairperson and official DELAC parent representative will be voted on at the first 2025-26 meeting. ELAC meetings are currently being conducted virtually and are open to the public.
