HSET – High School Equivalency Tests

High School Equivalency Tests (HSET) are designed for adults who do not have their high school diploma.  In California the minimum age required to take one of the approved HSET's is 18years old.  There are certain circumstances that will allow a 17 year old to take one of the HEST's.  For more details go to one of the websites below.  California has approved the use of three high school equivalency tests (GED®, HiSET®, and TASC™) 

General Education Development Test (GED)  This test is provided by the GED Testing Service.  

High School Equivalency Test (HiSET®)  This test is provided by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). 

Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC™)  This test is provided by the Data Recognition Corporation.
