Principal’s Message

James Leitch Elementary School is a 2010 & 2014 California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School at 2011 and a California Gold Ribbon School in 2016. At Leitch, the conscientious staff works collaboratively to improve instructions so that all students will succeed and excel in their educational endeavors and become life long learners. The quest for academic success is also fostered by a caring and excellent parent community who places high value on education.

While we set clear goals for student's academic success, we also understand the importance to educate the whole child. Leitch School offers many opportunities for students to participate in activities such as, Study Trips, Assemblies, Science Day, Music for Minors, and Variety Shows. There are various functions which are put together throughout the year by our outstanding PTA. At Leitch, we emphasize "Meaningful and High Level Student Learning". Staff, students, and parents are working towards the same goals and being highly motivated to achieve excellence.

The staff and parents have built a strong foundation at Leitch, and the students are enjoying the fruits of these tireless efforts.
