April 19 “Rising 6th Grade Parent Night” at Thornton

Hello Oliveira 5th Grade Parents and Guardians,

As you all know by now, beginning the first day of school on August 16, 2023, elementary schools will no longer have 6th grade students attend. Elementary schools will be open to students in grades TK through 5th only.

Current Oliveira 5th graders in the American Attendance Area moving on to 6th grade in the fall will be moving on to Thornton Middle School. Parents of rising 6th graders are invited to attend a “Rising 6th Grade Parent Night” on April 19, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Thornton Large Gym.

This meeting is only for parents with children currently in 5th grade. Construction updates, Middle School Curriculum and transition information will be provided.
