International Walk & Roll to School Day was a success!
Student leaders who are part of Oliveira Ambassadors Council (OAC) greeted the Walkers & Rollers by handing out Caught Soaring tickets and pencils supplied by Safe Routes to Schools.
OAC members tallied the methods of travel for their buddy classes. Mrs. Monkman led a walking school bus this morning from Los Cerritos Park to Oliveira and was joined by local community leaders FUSD Trustee Desrie Campbell and FEF President Kathy Kimberlin. Mrs. Bala brought a bus from Perkins and Gibraltar, and Mrs. Damron and students battled the traffic at Thornton & Oak.
