End of the Year at Patterson
End of the Year at Patterson
The end of the school year is an exciting time for our students and families! With May brings year-end parties, picnics, field days, and field trips.
5th Graders have a special promotion picnic at the end of the year which includes a procession through to entire student body set to fun playful music.
To help ensure a smooth and hectic-free transition into summer, please review these important year-end reminders:
1. Stay Updated on Events
-
Check Folders: Carefully review your student’s weekly folder for event announcements and ask your child directly about upcoming activities.
-
Online Resources: Regularly monitor the Patterson Parent News Page, the PTA Website, and the Patterson Website Calendar for the latest schedule changes.
2. Traffic & Parking Rules
-
No Parking in Loops: Do not leave your car parked or exit your vehicle while in the front or back loop areas. Your child must be independent enough to exit or enter the car on their own to use these loops.
-
Respect Neighbors: Do not block school or neighborhood driveways, even for a few minutes.
-
No U-Turns: For student safety, U-turns are strictly prohibited in front of the school.
3. Clear Out & Return Items
-
School Property: Return all borrowed classroom and library books.
-
Medication Pickup: If your student has medication in the school office, it must be picked up by the last day of school. Medication will not be stored over the summer.
-
Belongings & Projects: Check the Lost and Found box for misplaced items. Ensure your student has help bringing home larger projects and remaining school supplies during the final week.
Thank you for helping us close out the school year safely and smoothly!
