September 2023 Newsletter – Promoting Positive Behavior

It’s been wonderful meeting with students and families again. I appreciate the warm welcome from everyone in the community as I start my first year at Vallejo Mill. To recap the first 3 weeks of school, we have done a lot of work to promote Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS). We kicked off the year with an Expectations assembly on the third day of school. We will continue to promote this program and ensure that teachers continue with training. In the second week of school, students in 4th and 5th grade attended a Bullying and Harassment presentation. In the third week of school we had Back to School Night. It was wonderful to see all the families on campus.
