  3. Balanced Budget for Fiscal Sustainability: The Board received a presentation on the district’s fiscal sustainability efforts. Trustees asked questions regarding labor union negotiations, fund allocation, and strategies for addressing declining enrollment. They also discussed the potential for creating a second Mandarin Immersion Program site and right-sizing the district. The budget input portal was reopened for public feedback, which will be reviewed at the December 18 meeting.
  4. Public Comment: One speaker, Tammie Kim, addressed concerns about the LMT staffing formula, particularly the impact of reducing hours to less than 25. Kim suggested that a potential parcel tax could help restore LMT hours to 40 per week.
