Board of Education, Area 1 Trustee Vacancy

The Board of Education of the Fremont Unified School District intends to fill a vacancy by appointment due to a resignation effective December 12, 2022. This provisional appointment will serve until November of 2024 to complete the term of the position vacated by Desrie Campbell, Trustee Area 1.

All candidates who are interested in serving on the Board of Education must meet the minimum qualifications established by Education Code 35107, including:

• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older; and
• Candidates must be a resident of the school district and a resident of District Area 1, find the boundary map; and
• Candidates must be a registered voter; and
• Candidates must be one who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the state from holding a civil office

Employees of the district are eligible to serve on the Board provided they resign their position in the district prior to being sworn into office.  If the employee does not resign their position within the district, their employment will automatically terminate upon being sworn-in.
