Open Enrollment Transfers

  • Intra-District Transfers: For current FUSD students looking to transfer from one FUSD school to another, or
  • Inter-District Transfers: For students looking to transfer outside their district of residence.
  • Open Enrollment Transfers (this page): For current FUSD students looking to transfer to another FUSD school at which there is space available. Limited annual application window.

In alignment with Board Policy 5117.1 Open Enrollment for Resident Students, FUSD will follow the open enrollment process and allow parents/guardians to apply for their student to transfer to other FUSD schools at which there is space available.

Please note that no student currently residing within a school's attendance area will be displaced by another student transferring from outside the attendance area.

At the elementary school level, an approved open enrollment transfer will remain in place through grade 5. At the middle school level, an approved open enrollment transfer will remain in place through grade 8. At the high school level, an approved open enrollment transfer will remain in place through grade 12.
