9th 10th & 11th Grade Calendars

FRESHMAN YEAR:

  • Work hard and get good grades so you have opportunities and options by the time you are a senior! You need C's or better in order to apply to four year colleges.
  • Set your goals for success in your classes (grades) and personal life. Outline your Service Learning Hours goal
  • Get involved in extracurricular activities, sports, and/or volunteer work.
  • Talk with your parents about your plans after high school.
  • You may want to visit a local college campus.
  • Always check School Email and Ms. Chow's Google Classroom to get key information

 

SOPHOMORE YEAR:

  • Maintain your grades and seek help when needed.
  • Always check School Email and Ms. Chow's Google Classroom to get key information
  • Continue your extracurricular activities, sports, and volunteer work.
  • Visit colleges/vocational schools
  • Attend College Night in September/October timeframe
  • Take PSAT test in October
  • Review your PSAT scores in December and find teachers or tutors to help you improve in weak areas.
  • Take some practice SAT or ACT test mid year (if you plan to take SAT or ACT)
  • You may want to enroll in an ROP class during registration time for next year's classes.
  • Explore careers by interviewing adults in occupations of interest.

 

JUNIOR YEAR:

  • Maintain your grades and seek help when needed.
  • Always check School Email and Ms. Chow's Google Classroom to get key information
  • Continue your extracurricular activities, sports, and volunteer work.
  • Create your Resume 
  • Visit colleges/vocational schools
  • Attend vocational school and college rep visits in the Career Center
  • Attend College Night in September/October timeframe
  • Take PSAT test in October for possible National Merit Scholarship
  • During your Junior Jump Start session, complete your college search and ouline the colleges you plan on applying to
  • You may want to enroll in an ROP class during registration time for next year's classes.
  • Take SAT or ACT test sometime during 2nd semester (if you plan to take it)
  • Do you need to take any Advance Placement test?  Sign in the test and take the test in May
