Clipper Cards
For the 2022-2023 school year, registered students who are low income attending American High School are eligible to receive a free Student Transit Pass – a Youth Clipper card that provides unlimited free access to AC Transit bus services as well as a 50 percent discount on BART trips and youth discounts on other transit systems. These passes are being distributed as part of the Student Transit Pass Program (STPP), sponsored by the Alameda County Transportation Commission (Alameda CTC) and funded through Measure BB, the local transportation sales tax measure.
To participate, complete the online application: https://www.alamedactc.org/programs-projects/studentpass/. If you are unable to access the online application, please request a paper application from the main office. Students under the age of 18 must have their parent or legal guardian complete and sign the application. Once the form is submitted and verified by school staff, students will receive a youth Clipper card within a few weeks.
Reminders to students who are already enrolled in the STPP:
- If you received a Student Transit pass Clipper card during a previous school year, you do not need to submit a new application. Please continue to use your current Youth Clipper card.
- If your Clipper card has been misplaced, please contact the main office to request a replacement card.
