Our Eagle Nest of Honor Program at American High School will honor six to seven inductees who can be a student or a staff member; we will honor the recipient every month for each individual. At the end of the year, we will honor all inductees with an honorable mention in the second to last rally of the year.

In addition, each inductee will receive a gift basket and (with permission) have an appreciation video or photograph taken to highlight their contributions to the American Community.

Lastly, each inductee will be displayed on the school grounds for two years. Our current-year inductees are displayed in the Rotunda and the last year inductees will be displayed in the hallway by room 401. As we display and promote the inductees, we hope that they will encourage our students and staff to benefit others and our school. It's a wonderful way to appreciate what students and staff have done to make American a successful school.

  • The Recognition Committee continues to accept nominations from any staff  and student for the Fremont Rotary Eagle Nest of Honor Award.
  • Awards will be presented each month to either a staff member or student.
  • The nominees should exemplify the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. See below for further information on what that means to Interact and Rotary International. Students should be in good standing at American High School.
  • Fremont Rotary Eagle Nest of Honor inductees will be recognized  with a nice gift basket along with their framed certificate.

Criteria for nomination: Fremont Rotary sponsors this program. The core theme of Rotary International is "Service Above Self", which describes the virtue of using your skills and talents to help others above self. If we use their tenet of Service Above Self to guide us as a qualifier for nomination, the guide becomes inclusive of many of our students and staff who are contribute to our community.

The nominating student or staff member should have participated in a service for the school or their community and used their skills, talents and abilities to help others in our school or our community.
