Principal's Message

So much has happened as we finish up the last two weeks of October. Our students and staff had so much fun showing school spirit during Red Ribbon week. The basketball season has officially started and the girls and boys final rosters have been announced. The annual Halloween parade was filled with cute, creative, and spooky costumes! Trunk or Treat hosted by PTO was visited by over 500 families!

As we enter into the colder months of fall, please keep students at home if they are sick. Next week, we will have our well-deserved school Fun Run prize, the MAGIC SHOW. We are so excited!

Be kind, be safe, be responsible. Be your blazer best!
Mrs. Hsu & Mrs. Black

PBIS Parent Involvement

PBIS Parent Volunteers Needed
As we continue to grow our PBIS efforts this year, we are looking to add parent involvement to our PBIS team! On the third Wednesday of each month our team meets to discuss plans for PBIS at Bringhurst. We would need parent input for the first 15-20 minutes of each meeting (1:45 - 2:00pm). We would share what issues we are seeing on campus and have you brainstorm with the team on how to address these needs at school. Please let us know if you're interested!

Rainy Day Protocol

Help us remind students of these protocols to better prepare for unpredictable weather!

  1. Please encourage students to use their raincoats instead of their umbrellas to prevent any accidents.
  2. A reminder that Kindergarteners will NOT be able to use an umbrella if it rains during pick-up time as kids would be sitting too close to each other, so please prepare rain coats.
  3. Our closed campus policy is still in place despite the weather changes. You may instruct your child to walk to their classroom and out of the rain in the morning, there will be many adults to assist and supervise students. Please do NOT ask students to open gates for you, or walk in the campus after school for pick up.
  4. Our priority is safety. Kindly respect our traffic crew and their instructions as they help in the morning, rain or shine!

PTO/CIPCF Update

Traffic Committee Update - More Volunteers Needed!

Traffic rules
Thank you to those who stopped by the Traffic Trunk-or-Treat!
We distributed some treats as well as this flyer as a guide to good Traffic Behavior.
Traffic Comittee

We need more volunteers!

Parents may notice that some days there is only a single traffic volunteer. As dedicated the volunteers are, they are a small group and there will be days when they are short-handed. Please consider joining the Traffic Team and sign-up on Civicore then fill in slots here! Please consider joining Dorothy as an adorable crosswalk helper or valet loop attendant!

T-Shirt price adjustment - Effective 1/2026

  • Starting January 2026, Bringhurst T-Shirt will be priced at $12 to account for increasing costs
  • We understand that every family may have different financial resources and we do not want the price of the shirt to preclude our Little Blazers from having school pride. If you have a student who qualifies for needs-based sponsorships, please email us at [email protected] to see if your Blazer can get a free t-shirt.
  • We will collaborate with Bringhurst Administration staff to verify your student’s status as a need-based student, and proceed from there. For the T-shirt Sponsorship, our goal is to allow funding for a student in need to be awarded a new shirt once every 3 years.

School Clubs & T-Shirt Sponsorship Opportunities

  • Bringhurst PTO is now providing need-based sponsorship to the following items for students.
  • Sponsorship for School Club Fees/Competition Entry Fees (e.g. Math Kangaroo)
  • Sponsorship for a Bringhurst T-shirt (see above)
  • Sponsorship will be awarded on a first-come, first serve basis until the fund is exhausted.
