Young Authors’ Contest
The Young Authors Contest is now open to all students in Transitional Kindergarten through Grade 5 across Fremont Unified School District (FUSD). This contest encourages and celebrates student creativity through original short stories.
Each entry should be a creative, original short story. While stories may be inspired by real-life experiences or facts, they must include imaginative elements. The primary goal of the contest is to inspire young writers and recognize their achievements in creative writing.
Participating schools will hold their own site-level Young Authors’ contests. Students will submit their original books, and teachers will serve as judges to select one winner per grade level. These winning entries will then be submitted to represent the school at the district Board meeting on February 25, 2026.
We look forward to seeing the creativity and imagination of our young authors come to life!
