Programs & Services

All students in the Fremont Unified School District utilize a variety of instructional materials to support their learning. Listed below are the FUSD adopted elementary materials:

  • English Language Arts: Benchmark Advance
  • Math: Math Expressions
  • Science: Amplify
  • Social Studies: TCI
  • Social Emotional Learning: Second Step

Many of these materials can be located online in Clever. Students will need a Clever badge or know they FUSD email and password to access the online tools.

In addition to these adopted materials, teachers use supplementary materials to engage students in their learning. Our first through fifth grade students see a computer specialist and science specialist throughout the week for instruction. Learn more about our partnership with Math Science Nucleus here. Mattos teachers provide Physical Education instruction each week to meet State mandated minutes. Mattos is also proud to support students with structured literacy, small group instruction, and extracurricular activities. Our fifth graders attend science camp as well. We have scheduled assemblies throughout the school year thanks to funding by our Mattos PTA. Mattos has a school library that all students also visit throughout their week.
