2024 Summer Transcripts & Work Permits
June 10 - July 10 (9am - 2pm): Transcripts and Work Permits will be issued at the High School Summer School Office - Washington High School - 38442 Fremont Blvd.
July 11 - July 25 (9am - 2pm): Transcripts and Work Permits will be issued at FUSD District Office - Secondary Education Office - 4210 Technology Dr.
July 26 - and after: Official and unofficial transcript requests are to be made using the parchment.com service - please check the High School Registrar page for specific directions and links.
July 29 - Aug 13 (9am - 2pm): Work Permits will be issued at FUSD District Office - Secondary Education Office - 4210 Technology Dr.
August 14 - and after: Work Permits will be issued at the school sites.
Work Permit Application:
California Department of Education (CDE) has stated clearly all minors under 18 years old employed in the state of California MUST have a work permit ( You may find exemption in FAQ section, Q36).
A couple highlights in getting a minor work permit:
- Minors may only work at physical brick and mortar businesses (Ed Code 49163). Thus NO online/remote work is allowed.
- All signatures MUST be wet signatures, no electronic/scanned signatures allowed
- Mission San Jose high school minor work permit policy:

- Students must have and maintain a 2.0 GPA to obtain & keep a work permit, not be failing a class.
- Student must have good attendance.
Minor work permit process flow:
- You can either pick up a form in the College & Career Center, or print the form from this link: "Work Permit Application Form"
2. Complete the signatures in Student, Parent and Employement sections.
3. Return the complete form to the College & Career Center, you will be informed the pick up time.
