Thank you to everyone who came out to the Azaveda Tree Planting on October 18, 2025
We had a fantastic turnout, with 45 volunteers coming together to plant a bunch of the 94 trees planned for the project (London Plane and Persian Ironwood variety). These trees may be young now, but in 15 years they’ll grow tall and strong, providing much-needed shade and beauty for the Azevada community.
We were also joined by Trustees Coco and Nair and Council Members Liu and Kimberlin, and the City of Fremont shared a special “tree talk” with the community during this exciting event. Many thanks to Nathiya Prathnadi (volunteer at Urban Forest Friends), Chris Curry (Urban Forestry Manager, City of Fremont | Community Services), JTS, Jeffrey Waller (science teacher at Azevada), and all the other volunteers who made this event possible.
Everyone’s efforts will make a lasting impact on the future of our community. 🌳
