Warm Springs Elementary School Visit

Warm Springs Elementary, the southernmost school in FUSD, is a true gem serving three grades of exceptional students. Principal Scott Iwata welcomed Trustee Vivek Prasad, Superintendent Zack Larsen, Associate Superintendent Angela Bianchini, and Budget Director James Arcala for a tour of vibrant classrooms and a valuable opportunity to hear directly from students.

The grade span at Warm Springs, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, is a pivotal stage, building on foundational skills while preparing students for a smooth transition to middle school. These are the years when learning really begins to click, and that growth was evident during the student panel, where students spoke with confidence and curiosity. One key shift at this stage is moving from “learning to read” to “reading to learn,” with the Warm Springs library serving as a shining example of that journey.

District leadership extends heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated teachers and staff who make Warm Springs a nurturing, inspiring place for students to thrive.
