Fremont Unified School District Launching Search for Next Associate Superintendent

The Fremont Unified School District will soon launch a search for its next Associate Superintendent as current Associate Superintendent Daniel Hillman leaves the District to take a similar position closer to his home.

The Associate Superintendent oversees Business and Operational Services for the District, including supervising the Accounting Services; Budget; Child Nutrition; Facilities & Construction; Maintenance, Operations & Grounds; Purchasing; Technology; and Transportation departments.

Mr. Hillman joined the District in September 2022, and has overseen many improvements to policies and practices within his purview. His contributions to the District are appreciated and will continue to positively impact our students, staff, and school community for years to come, and we thank Mr. Hillman for his services to Fremont Unified.

The Board of Education and staff will undertake a thoughtful, strategic, and collaborative process to establish a plan that will build upon the District’s strong foundation of responsible financial stewardship, help navigate the District through its ongoing budget reduction process, and bring experienced leadership to the choices and opportunities that will face our district in the future.

A detailed plan will be developed to ensure a seamless transition and a continuation of services. Updates will be announced as available.
