June 30th, 2025Â is a firm deadline for senior students and parents to file the FAFSA or CADAA to be considered for state financial aid such as Cal Grant A, B, and C. Many universities also use this deadline to consider students for institutional aid.
If you and your parent have already completed AND submitted (both steps) the FAFSA or CADAA, then please go here to the CA State Aid Commission website to see what your Cal Grant status is: mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/
If you and your parents are on H visas, you will not be able to complete a FAFSA. Even though you do not qualify for federal or state aid, you might qualify for in-state tuition at our public universities in CA.
See this federal website for who can qualify for federal financial aid.
See this CSU website for who can qualify for CSU CA residency tuition.
See this UC website for who can qualify for UC CA residency tuition.
If you don't plan to apply for federal or state aid at all, then please complete the Financial Aid Application Opt-Out Form, and give it to your attendance clerk at school for district and school compliance.
