Fremont Unified School District Celebrates Public Schools Week
It’s Public Schools Week — a time to recognize and celebrate the students, families, educators, and staff who choose and champion public education each day. This week highlights the dedication, partnership, and shared commitment that make public schools the foundation of our community.
At Fremont Unified School District (FUSD), meaningful engagement with students and families remains at the center of our work. We believe the strongest decisions are made when we stay connected to those they impact most. Public education thrives when collaboration, communication, and trust guide our efforts.
“Public education helped build the United States and remains foundational to our democracy. It is vital that we protect and celebrate this institution and ensure that strong, high-quality public education is available to every child in our country. We are proud to celebrate our entire community in Fremont; staff, students, and families, for the hard work and commitment that make FUSD such a special place,” said FUSD Superintendent Zack Larsen.
FUSD offers a wide range of programs designed to expand opportunity and support diverse student interests. Our Mandarin and Spanish Dual Language Immersion programs provide students with the opportunity to develop bilingualism and biliteracy while gaining meaningful cross-cultural understanding.
In addition, our Magnet Programs: science magnet offers specialized academic pathways that nurture students’ interests in STEM fields while maintaining a strong, comprehensive educational foundation. The Visual and Performing Arts magnet program explores the arts through History and English classes designed to develop students’ skills both artistically and academically.
Together, these programs reflect our commitment to providing high-quality public education and expanding opportunities for every learner.
Families and community members are encouraged to visit the FUSD website to learn more about the many programs and opportunities available across our district.
