Long Range Facilities Plan
The Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP) defines the long-term vision, goals and principles for facility planning that support the educational goals of the District. The LRFP presents a clear vision and guiding principles, which serve as a prioritization framework for future projects.
2024 Long Range Facilities Plan
The Fremont Unified School District Board of Education adopted the Long Range Facilities Plan on August 28, 2024. The LRFP is available in three segments due to the large file size:
- Part 1 - 2024 FUSD Long Range Facilities Plan
- Part 2 - 2024 FUSD Long Range Facilities Plan
- Part 3 - 2024 FUSD Long Range Facilities Plan
2024 Prioritized Project List
The LRFP includes both a complete list of future projects, and a Prioritized Project List. The FAC and District staff, following direction from the Board of Education, developed the Prioritized Project List that was approved by the Board on June 26, 2024.
The Prioritized Project List identifies the highest priority projects to be undertaken when funding becomes available.
The List is central to, and incorporated into, the updated LRFP.
LRFP Background
Work started in 2020 to update the Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP), with staff and consultants working with each school site and department to complete site surveys, and review facilities conditions and needs.
The Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) is an active partner in the District's work to update and maintain the LRFP, and provides recommendations to the Board of Education on facilities topics. FAC members are appointed by the Board of Education, SURFBoardE and the District's labor partners to represent the community voice on facilities matters. Please review agendas and minutes on the FAC page for details on the engagement and recommendations from this committee.
