Classroom Visits All visitors must sign in at the office. Visitor stickers must be worn at all times while on campus.  Contact the school office to arrange a visit.
Conferences If you would like to talk to your child's teacher about your child, please make arranagments to do so before or after school. Staff should not be interrupted when they are teaching or supervising children. Please direct your questions or concerns about your child to the teacher; our para-educators will refer you to the teacher if you ask them about your child.
Illnesses Please do not bring or send your child to school when he/she is sick. Sick children must be kept at home, resting and getting well. Also, please be aware that we have some children who are very fragile and even a common cold can make them very ill. Sick children will be sent home.
Absences It is very important that your child attend school every day and arrive on time. If your child should be absent due to illness, family emergency or medical appointments, please call the school, leaving a message, stating your child's name, teacher and reason for absence.
Labeling Personal Belongings In order to avoid the loss of your child's personal belongings, please label your child's jacket, backpack, lunch box, etc. Include your child's name, "Glankler" and the classroom number. This is also helpful to bus drivers. Children often leave their belongings behind. If your child uses a car seat on the bus, be sure to label it with your child's name, your address and the school.
Telephone Calls to Staff We will not interrupt class time with phone calls to staff. Staff will return phone calls as soon as they are able. Our school telephone number is 651-1190. The office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
School Lunch Program Your child may qualify for a free or reduced-priced school lunch based on income eligibility. You can collect an application form in our office. You can also buy a full-priced school lunch at $2.75. Please send your child's lunch money to school in an envelope with your child's name and room number listed. School lunches are delivered to Glankler at approximately 9:00 a.m. and orders must be placed the day prior.
Parking Lot All areas marked STAFF are for staff only. Please do not park in red zones or the yellow bus zone in front of the school. Please be aware that staff will ask you to move if you park in a staff parking space. Please do not double park and/or leave your car unattended in any non-parking area. Only cars with handicap placards are to use the handicap spaces. If there are no parking spots available, you must park on the street.
