Early Assessment Program — EAP for Juniors

GET READY FOR EARLY START

In 2010 the California State University Chancellor’s Office established the Early Start Program (ESP) for students who have been accepted to a CSU.  The goals of the Early Start Program are to better prepare students in math and English before their first semester in college, thereby improving their chances of completing a college degree.

  • Early Start is required for incoming students who are not ready for college level math or English.
  • The program takes place the summer before the freshman year in college.
  • Upon admission, CSU campuses will inform students how and where to sign up for Early Start.
  • Early Start math and English courses are available at every CSU campus, and online.
  • Financial aid will be available for those who demonstrate need.
