FIRST FRIDAY FOCUS December 2025 Edition

🤍   Tolerance & Resilience
As the calendar year draws to a close, we’re encouraged to look back with compassion, acknowledging that every obstacle requires patience and understanding. At the same time, our resilience emerges in how we move forward, adjust to change, and continue finding hope despite uncertainty.

This idea of wellness could fit into a Film Festival submission.

Individuals with Disabilities Education Act
2025 marked the 50th anniversary of the IDEA, a landmark law that transformed not only our schools, but our nation’s understanding of equity and inclusion. It is both a celebration (Outcomes pdf) of how far we’ve come and a call to continue building an educational system where all students, regardless of ability, can thrive Mission Valley SELPA

21 School Visits Before Winter Break
With winter break approaching, 21 of the district’s 43 schools will have been visited, marking approximately the halfway point in our scheduled visits. 🎉🔒✨ Safety and Holiday Cheer
The well-being of our students and staff is our highest priority. FUSD maintains a strong working relationship with Fremont Police and Fire. When parents/guardians speak with their students regularly about school-related situations, we can all team up to support their safety. Remember: if an emergency incident is in progress, please dial 911.

Holiday cheer grows stronger when we work together to keep our celebrations safe and enjoyable with family and friends.

Sincerely,
Zack Larsen, Superintendent
