Principal’s Message
Hello Warm Springs Community,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at our National Blue Ribbon school, Warm Springs Elementary! We’re thrilled to welcome back our returning families and extend a warm greeting to those who are new to our community. It’s going to be a wonderful year of learning, connection, and growth.
My name is Scott Iwata, and I’m proud to be starting my 14th year as principal here at Warm Springs. My wife teaches 3rd grade in FUSD, and we have three sons—now 16, 14, and 12—who all attend FUSD schools. As both an educator and a parent, I am deeply invested in creating a school environment where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to do their best.
At Warm Springs, we believe that student success is built on strong partnerships between home and school. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships with students and families, and we encourage open communication throughout the year. Working together, we can ensure that every child receives the guidance and encouragement they need to thrive.
This year, students will continue to enjoy a wide range of academic experiences, hands-on learning, and enrichment activities that support their development across all domains. One exciting feature of our program is our full-time science specialist, who will be guiding all students through engaging lab experiences designed to spark curiosity and deepen understanding of the world around them.
We invite you to visit our school website regularly for updates on events, policies, and resources. If you ever have questions or ideas to share, don’t hesitate to reach out. Your voice matters, and we value your involvement.
I’m truly looking forward to a great year ahead—meeting new families, reconnecting with familiar faces, and supporting each student on their educational journey.
Thank you for your support and for being part of the Warm Springs community.
Go Wolves!
In partnership,
Scott Iwata
