Beth Bonomo – Assistant Principal

Beth Bonomo

Hello Mission San Jose High School Community.  I am so excited to be back in the Mission Attendance Area and to be serving as your Assistant Principal.  Although this is my first year at Mission San Jose High School, this is my 27th in the Fremont Unified School District.  I started my career at Hopkins Junior High School in January of 1997 as a history teacher.  After 22 years teaching seventh-grade history, I finally made the leap to administration in 2019.  I served as the Middle School Program Manager for one year before moving on to become the Assistant Principal at Horner Middle School in 2020.  I spent the first 26 years of my career working at the middle school level, so I am so excited to work with an amazing group of high school students. I am especially excited because the Class of 2024 is the last group of students I taught in the classroom before leaving to go to the district office.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, and traveling.  Last Spring, I was lucky enough to take a 10-day tour of Morocco.  The highlight of the trip was riding a camel in the Sahara desert.  I plan on visiting many more of the places that I once taught to my students in our seventh grade history class.

This year, I am assigned to serve all students in grades 9-12 with last names R-Z.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns, or just to say hello.
