Active participation is essential to success in Health class. Engaging fully in class activities not only enhances your own learning but also supports a positive learning environment for everyone. Students are expected to meet the following expectations:
- Be On Time
-
- Students should be in their seats before the bell rings.
- If you are not through the doorway when the bell rings, you will be marked tardy.
- Come Prepared and Ready to Learn
-
- Arrive with all necessary materials and a focused mindset.
- Remain on task and complete Health assignments before working on assignments from other classes.
- Engage in Class Discussions
-
- Contribute by asking and answering questions.
- Participate actively and respectfully in both small and large group discussions.
- Follow the Class Code of Conduct
-
- Conduct yourself in a way that promotes learning for both yourself and your peers.
- Limit side conversations during instruction.
- Behavior concerns will be addressed individually or with the class, depending on the situation.
- Respect the Classroom Environment – Our Biosphere
We share this space for much of the semester and are all responsible for maintaining a clean and respectful environment:
-
- Dispose of trash properly.
- Clean up any spills or messes immediately.
- Pick up trash, even if it isn’t yours.
- Return class materials to their proper place before the bell rings.
- Cell Phone Policy
-
- Cell phones are not permitted during class time.
- Phones must be stored in the designated Cell Phone Holder unless specific permission is given by the teacher.
