Superintendent Equity & Belonging Team (Equity) has been formed to help develop an equity plan focused on closing achievement and opportunity gaps for students.

  • Achievement gaps refer to any significant, persistent disparities in academic performance between groups of students, based on income level, race, or program participation.
  • Opportunity gaps refer to gaps in access to resources, programs.

Superintendent Equity & Belonging Team (Equity) Members

Superintendent Equity & Belonging Team (Equity) consists of district staff, community representatives, parents and students. Team members have been selected based upon geographic location and representation of the diverse population of the City of Fremont. The Superintendent Equity & Belonging Team (Equity) reviews and discusses data, prioritizes action steps, and advises on the development of the district’s equity plan. Team members have committed to a two-year term.
