Facilities Advisory Committee
About the FAC
The Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) serves as a working committee of the FUSD Board of Education. The committee anticipates District facilities needs by studying current and future needs related to student enrollment, develops processes and procedures for obtaining input from community and employee organizations, submits recommendations to the Board, and conducts reviews of various reports, trends, and proposals. See the FAC Bylaws for more information.
Please send written public comment for the FAC to fac@fusdk12.net.
Send any other feedback for the FAC to Committee Liaison Laura Forrest at lforrest@fusdk12.net.
FAC's Role in the Long Range Facilities Plan
The FAC is an active partner in the District's work to update and maintain its Long Range Facilities Plan (LRFP), a document that outlines the long-term vision, goals and principles for facility planning that support the educational goals of the District.
See meeting agendas, attachments and minutes for details on the collaborative work completed by the FAC and District staff, following direction from the Board of Education to develop the prioritized project list that was approved by the Board on June 26, 2024, and prepare the updated LRFP for review and approval in the summer of 2024.
