FIRST FRIDAY FOCUS October 2025 Edition
October 3, 2025
🎃October Begins with the School Year in Full Swing! Focusing on films, a reminder that this month our Fremont Unified Film Festival will launch. This is an opportunity for students who are interested in creating short films to enter those videos in our District film festival. Look for more information in the middle of this month. Another imaginative outlet this year is the Young Author Contest (TK through 5th) that encourages writing and celebrates student creativity.
🛡️Student and Staff Safety is Our Highest Priority We’ve added a new Social Media Safety page to our website which includes important information about the “Door Kick Challenge” trend.
As reminder, please keep your student’s emergency contact information up to date.
Observances: Latina/o/x Heritage finishes mid-month and Oct. starts Bully Prevention, Cultural Diversity, Disability History, Character Ed and LGBTQ History
✨School Visits Make Us Proud of Our Students and Staff
Our students and schools shone brightly during last month's Structured Site visits. Through open and honest conversations with students, we also gained valuable insights into some of the challenges they face, an important step
in building greater understanding. What is most impressive is the engagement observed in classrooms along with the meaningful connections established between students and staff which further curiosity, discovery and learning. Photos

🙏Thanks to Committee Applicants and Current Members We are grateful to our community for their continued service and commitment. Many meetings will be starting up this month.
