New Students
Parents/Guardians of students who are new to FUSD, or who previously withdrew their student(s) from FUSD schools, must complete an application in Aeries.
The enrollment application for 2025-2026 will go live January 6, 2025. DO NOT use the 2024-2025 application if you are enrolling to start August 2025. Should you use the wrong application you will be required to restart the process with the correct application.

Once the application is submitted a confirmation page will open. On the top of the page you will find directions to schedule a virtual meeting to finalize the enrollment. The enrollment IS NOT complete until you have this meeting. Be sure to select the correct Service Type based on your child’s grade for 2025-2026. (TK/K, 1-5, 6-12). Incorrect appointment types will be canceled and you will need to schedule the correct appointment to finalize the enrollment. The first available appointment for 2025-2026 will be January 13, 2025.
1. Requirements for Enrollment
- Student must be living full-time in Fremont, CA at the time of enrollment.
- A student cannot be enrolled in an FUSD school for the current school year if they are enrolled in another public or private school for the current school year.

2. Student Placement in a School and Grade Level
- School Locator (woolpert.com) to find a home school (boundaries) by residence address. Students may be placed outside their home school based on availability.
- Elementary schools participate in a kindergarten lottery/wait lists when more kindergarten students are enrolled than available space. Click here to access the Overload Complaint Form.
- Student must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of that school year to enroll in kindergarten.
- Kindergarten is extended day format.

- Initial grade placement is based on chronological age. (Board Policy)

PLEASE NOTE: To be considered for a special program you must ENROLL in FUSD, as indicated on this page, as well as submit the program application.

4. Transferring Schools

5. Extended Day Services
