SB 848 Compliance
California's SB 848 (2025) requires public school districts to adopt stricter safety policies, expand mandated reporter training to include many volunteers/board members, and create a statewide system for reporting employee misconduct, focusing on enhanced child abuse prevention and professional boundaries, impacting how schools handle and share employee information during hiring. Policies must detail inquiring about prior credible misconduct allegations during hiring for all staff.
SB 848 for Previous Employers: If you are requesting or submitting information under SB 848 for a noncertificated applicant (classified), please direct all responses to [email protected].
